The opportunity:
Fit Republic is one of the largest and most diverse fitness facilities in Bendigo. It is a family-owned gym, with shared ownership of Maine Fitness; Castlemaine's largest fitness facility as well.
Fit Republic and Maine Fitness are seeking a manager responsible for inspiring and managing the driven teams across both gyms. This exciting opportunity won't see any two days the same; with three days required at the Bendigo facility each week and two days at the Castlemaine gym (30min drive from Bendigo).
Your role will see you able to use your creativity and initiative to implement new ideas and projects within the business, but also traditional people leadership skills, financial acumen, analytical capability, and management expertise to oversee all aspects of business operations, to create a thriving and growing facility.
Key responsibilities:
- Achieve sales budget for the companies on a monthly and annual basis
- Communicate directly with department leaders.
- Recruitment and retention of team members
- Annual performance appraisals
- Oversee initiation of company initiatives and programs
To be successful in this role:
- Management experience, ideally within the fitness industry
- Minimum of 2 years experience managing a team
- Experience in managing budgets
- Ability to accurately record and report key figures to facility owners
- Ability to engage and inspire a diverse team across club operations
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
