'Westgate Gym' was established in 1988 as the first Fitness Centre in the local area ? the thumping success of the club became quickly apparent, with memberships and employment opportunities in high demand.

Under new ownership, we are excited to announce the commencement of a 2-year multimillion-dollar redevelopment program, as 'Westgate Gym' transforms into the largest fitness centre in Altona: 'Westgate Health Club'.

Once complete, our members will enjoy our transformed gym, ladies gym, Group fitness, Cycle, Pilates and Yoga Studios, indoor pool, spa, wellness offerings, and more.

We have opened recruitment opportunities in various roles for people that go above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service and team support while enjoying the opportunity to change people's lives.

Our Vacancies:

ASSISTANT MANAGER (2IC) - 37.5 hours per week

• Oversee day to day operations of the club, including gym floor and group fitness timetable
• Strong experience in gym software preferred, as well as intermediate computer skills
• Assist with staff rostering and training of other team members
• First-class customer service & sales experience in the fitness or retail industry
• Flexible work hours, including the ability for open and/or close shifts
• Strong desire to proudly represent the 'Westgate Health Club' brand
• Ability to adapt to the changing needs of a growing and evolving business undergoing a major redevelopment
• A strong work ethic with a passion for helping others
• Cert 3 & 4 in fitness preferred
• Experience in delivering classes (large and small groups) will be looked upon favourably
• base salary + attractive bonus structure for meeting key targets

PART-TIME SALES (15-20 hours per week)

• Add to our current marketing strategy
• Drive sales, especially external marketing to local corporate and community groups
• Roll out marketing campaigns each month
• Strengthen the 'Westgate Health Club' brand within the local community
• Provide support to the manager to improve cross-promotion with other businesses within the Westgate Sports & Leisure Complex

GROUP FITNESS INSTRUCTORS

We are both recruiting and seeking expressions of interest from instructors of freestyle classes, Spin, Yoga, Pilates mat, Pilates reformer, Metafit, Boxing, Aerobics and Zumba

• Cert in III Fitness or above
• Relevant program certificates
• First Aid Level 2
• CPR
• Working with Children (or willingness to obtain)
