We have roles that require inspirational teachers to deliver training in Fitness in our Brisbane campus. The qualifications we deliver are:

• Certificates III and IV in Fitness to students in a classroom and gym environment.
• Diploma of Sport and Recreation Management to students in a classroom setting.
• Diploma of Fitness.

Trainers and assessors are required to:

• Inspire and deliver the assigned programs using their extensive knowledge, past experience and examples guided by comprehensive learning materials
• Provide support and feedback to ensure successful completion of programs
• Monitor, mark and conduct student assessments

Is this you? Our Trainer and Assessors must have the following key selection criteria:

• Must have Diploma of Fitness or appropriate higher education degree, Bachelor in Health Sciences / Sport and Exercise Science / Human Movement Science / Applied Science would be desirable
• Keen interest in teaching others
• Experience in Teaching or Lecturing is essential
• Confidence and motivation to deliver excellent teaching (i.e. face to face) in a classroom and gym environment
• Sensitivity to students of different cultural backgrounds
• A high level of attention to quality and detail
• Current employment in the Fitness Industry.
• Current membership of an Australian fitness professional body
• Language, Literacy and Numeracy level that is appropriate to teach others
• Must have a strong understanding of learning theory, particularly with course delivery for adults and higher education
• Minimum of 2 years industry/professional experience
• Must have Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116)
• Must have HLTAID003 Apply First Aid. HLTAID006 Provide Advanced First Aid is desirable but not essential

Those applying for the Diploma Training and Assessor role must have a Bachelors Degree or Diploma in the field of Fitness (or be able to demonstrate equivalent competency, experience and knowledge) and extensive experience in one or more of the following specialisations:

• Applied Science
• Marketing the Sport and Recreation Organization
• Health Promotion
• Injury Prevention
• Human Resource Management
• Communications
• Accounting in the Sport and Recreation Organization
• Legislation and Compliance in the Sport and Recreation Industry

This role is based in our new, central CBD campus where our Head Trainer for Fitness is also based. Given we deliver many of the same quality qualifications across Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney, we offer our Trainer and Assessors the opportunity of transferring interstate.

Additionally, we also offer a 25% discount on our qualifications to our Trainer and Assessors whilst teaching with us.
