Tammy Curtis - Owner & Head Personal Trainer
Having been in the fitness industry since 2000, I bring a wealth of knowledge & experience to my training sessions and programs for individuals and groups.
My interest in fitness began at a young age when I tried my hand at as many different sports as my parents would let me. I gained a particular interest in fitness leading me to complete a Diploma in Recreation & Fitness. It was here that I really found my passion in working with people and improving their lives through health and fitness. This lead to many opportunities both abroad in London (Sona Positive Health), in Canberra (Australian Institute of Sport, Step into Life, Fernwood) and Melbourne (CorpFit, Vitalic), working and managing several corporate and commercial fitness facilities. More notably I found most enjoyment in corporate fitness working inside large companies such as Linklaters (1 year) and Ernst & Young (6 years). It was here that I began to further understand the constraints of corporate clients and how best to influence a balanced and healthy approach to their lifestyle. I believe these skills have defined my style of training and connection with my current client-base.
I finally acknowledged a growing desire to put all my knowledge and passion in this industry into my own personal training business! This was how Fit for All evolved in 2012.
Since 2011 I have been a lecturer and presenter of Certificate III and IV in Fitness at Australian Fitness Academy. This allows me to engage and share my enthusiasm with many different population groups as well as keeping my theoretical and practical knowledge up to date.
I’m very proud to be the February 2015 Physical Activity Australia “Inspirational Instructor” of the month nominated by my clients. This was a lovely surprise to be recognised by a governing body, and some long-standing clients acknowledging the standard I set with every session.
I’m big believer in practising what you preach so outside of working you will most likely find me running, lifting weights or on weekends tackling some hills on my bike. I also enjoy motorbike riding, travelling and food of course!
